Hundreds of thousands of refugees have flocked to Lviv, a city in Western Ukraine, since the outbreak of war, leading to an estimated threefold increase in its population. ShareP, an award-winning tech startup specializing in IoT solutions for mobility, is collaborating with Lviv to optimize the utilization of existing parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles. The project under the patronage of the UN and Polish Aid aims to eliminate the need for cruising in search of parking, enhance the safety of parkers, particularly women, and unlock the full potential of the existing parking and EV charging infrastructure.
A seguito del successo dello Smart Mobility Forum tenutosi a Lviv nell'aprile del 2023, sono stati individuati, in collaborazione con le autorità locali, i luoghi chiave all'interno della città per affrontare i problemi di parcheggio più impegnativi. The hospital area and a major parking facility in the city center have been selected as pilot sites for the technology, which optimizes parking and allows drivers to pre-book their parking spaces. As a result, the system provided by ShareP will serve over a thousand medical employees on a daily basis.
