Parking in Warsaw city centre: how to park near Złote Tarasy and Centralna without circling

The paid parking zone covers the whole centre on working days, kerbside spots are scarce at any hour, and the zone keeps growing. This guide covers your real options: street parking in the SPPN zone versus a garage you can actually reserve.
Street parking: the SPPN zone
Paid Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 20:00. Rates: PLN 4.50 for the first hour, PLN 5.40 for the second, PLN 6.40 for the third, PLN 4.50 for the fourth and each following hour; the minimum charge is PLN 0.50 for 10 minutes. Evenings and weekends are free, but free does not mean available: finding a kerbside spot near Złote Tarasy or Centralna is a lottery. The additional fee for unpaid parking is PLN 300. The zone has been extended repeatedly in recent years, most recently into parts of Mokotów and further areas, so check the meters even where parking used to be free.
