The paid parking area in Zakopane is the city-centre paid parking zone (Śródmiejska Strefa Płatnego Parkowania), divided into subzones A, B and C, plus subzone D for coaches; a zone E was added in 2026

There are also parking lots on tourist trails (Palenica Białczańska, Łysa Polana on the way to Morskie Oko) – described at the bottom of the page.

Parking meters in Zakopane accept contactless card payments. You can also pay with the mobile apps Flowbird, SkyCash and mobiLET.

Paid parking zones:

 

Subzone A

valid 7 days a week, 8:00 to 21:00

• PLN 5.00 minimum charge for 30 minutes of parking;
• PLN 8.00 for the first hour of parking;
• PLN 9.60 for the second hour of parking;
• PLN 11.50 for the third hour of parking;
• PLN 8.00 for the fourth and each subsequent hour of parking;

Subzone B

valid 7 days a week, 8:00 to 21:00

• PLN 4.00 minimum charge for 30 minutes of parking;
• PLN 6.00 for the first hour of parking;
• PLN 7.00 for the second hour of parking;
• PLN 8.00 for the third hour of parking;
• PLN 6.00 for the fourth and each subsequent hour of parking;
• PLN 45.00 for a one-time payment covering seven or more hours of parking in a given day;

A one-time payment of more than PLN 38.00 for subzone B is converted into parking minutes on the following days.

Subzone C

valid 7 days a week, 8:00 to 21:00

• PLN 4.00 minimum charge for 30 minutes of parking;
• PLN 6.00 for the first hour of parking;
• PLN 7.00 for the second hour of parking;
• PLN 8.20 for the third hour of parking;
• PLN 6.00 for the fourth and each subsequent hour of parking;

Subzone D (coaches only)

valid 7 days a week, 8:00 to 21:00

• no 30-minute minimum charge;
• PLN 8.40 for the first hour of parking;
• PLN 10.00 for the second hour of parking;
• PLN 12.00 for the third hour of parking;
• PLN 8.40 for the fourth and each subsequent hour of parking;

Fees in the city-centre paid parking zone are collected 7 days a week, from 8:00 to 21:00. Parking is free only on the public holidays listed in the resolution.

Parking on the Morskie Oko trail

Parking at Palenica Białczańska and Łysa Polana is possible only with an electronic parking ticket. The Tatra National Park has run an advance online reservation system for years, and prices are dynamic: they depend on the season, demand and how early you buy the e-ticket.

If tickets for a given day are sold out, during holiday periods you can use the alternative car parks at Kotelnica Białczańska, Rusin-Ski and Małe Ciche, from where public transport runs towards the park entrances.

Palenica Białczańska i Łysa Polana

• cars (up to 5 m): online e-ticket from PLN 36.00 to PLN 75.00 depending on the season and demand (base price PLN 36.00 to 55.00 by season);
• purchase on site: up to PLN 85.00, card payments only;
• parking without a ticket: up to PLN 115.00;
• motorcycles: separate, cheaper tariff of roughly PLN 19.00 to 29.00;
• buses and campers (5 to 8 m): base PLN 65.00 to 85.00, on site PLN 89.00 to 119.00 (no overnight stay possible);
• persons with disabilities: free of charge on 9 designated spaces at Palenica Białczańska (valid parking card required);
• electric vehicles: 5 free spaces (no charging points);

You can buy it at the Tourist Information Office (44 Chałubińskiego Street in Zakopane).
